Japanese fashion 2

Ok, I had about an hour of free time so I sketched out this sort of "Fruits" inspired outfit for the Japanese Fashion sketch thread. Enjoy!

Japanese fashion

I haven't had much time to draw lately but here's an oldie but goodie of my character Bunny in a kimono.

One Colorful Kimono

I'd say this is more my interpretation of Japanese fashion than anything else. Actual Japanese silk patterns are stunning (and complicated to draw!)

ACK, I'm so sorry for the blank post, it was an accident! Could anyone please delete it as I seem to be unable to?

I did this a little while back for my sailormoon themed art blog sailormmm, but it fits in with the week's theme.

It's a ganguro inspired SailorMoon.. or girl dressed as a ganguro dressed as Sailor Moon.. I'm not quite sure.

Japanese Girl

It's funny that this is the theme, because I just finished all my paintings for the Sweet Streets show in a few weeks. It's all about Japanese Street fashion! Here's one of my log paintings:

Tiny Blue Heels

When I was in Japan, I was inspired by almost everything, even the trashcans tucked in the dark gritty alley corners, but most of all was the adorable fashion! One thing that was big in Fall '08 was wearing brightly colored heels to an otherwise neutral colored outfit. Another big thing, especially throughout Spring '09 was black thigh-high stockings(sometime textured ones) with super short shorts. The hair style at the time was a large loose bun at the tip-top of the head, and with a burgundy brown hair color. So I made this little outfit based on that, but probably already worn by a super cute girl in Japan =P

My favorite colors are black and blue, but I do enjoy bold blues against a gray or beige color. Colors to mimic my favorite rainy weathers.

So I give you 28-100 Nanami:

Hope everyone is as anxious for rainy weather as I am! It's too dang hot! =P
