Mermaid drawings at Cactus Gallery
I've been creating a whole bunch of super simple sketches to sell at Cactus Gallery's upcoming Drawing/Sketch show on their cash and carry wall. These 5"x7" beauties are matted and hand drawn on pages from a vintage National Geographic book about the South Pacific.

Mermaids!
I get hypnotized every time Ursela's swimming on screen, and her tentacles are so awesomely slithery, I had to test what this could be like on a HOT chick : ) I love the idea, there's still something so evil and seductive about it.
The other sketch is a scene from one of my favorite books The Changeling Sea by Patricia A. McKillip. It's a sea side tale about a plane jane who accidentally saves the life of the sea prince washed ashore. I LOVE IT! THe sketch is the Sea Queen coming out of the water to haunt the girl and look for her son.

MERMAIDS!!!
SQUEE! I love this theme. I seriously have dozens of mermaid drawings, I can't possibly choose. I even made a book of my mermaid drawings that I bought down to sell at SDCC (and soon to be available at Stuart Ng books!! yay!!)
However, in honor of Shark Week, here are some mermaids... WITH SHARKS! dun dun dun!

Alooooha!
Hey everyone! I'm a newbie to the group and have been sort of waiting in the wings until the right moment... Alas - I will never EVER turn down a mermaid challenge!
